Going Fishing

Students pretend to go ice fishing for Northern Pike. As they catch fish they count and compare sizes of their catch. Students safely play with magnetic fishing rod, take turns, learn to identify Northern Pike, and compare lengths of fish by using terms: smaller, bigger, longer, shorter.

• Pike Lures (5 in kit)

• Bucket filled with water or overturned box with hole
