Let’s Make a River

Children will learn what the components are of a strong clean river by visiting a river, collecting materials, and building one in their classroom. Activity extensions are included for the art and sensory center.

What’s in Our River?

Children will learn what organisms are in our local rivers. This lesson includes an outdoor experience in which children take samples of water and look at it under a microscope. In the art center children will use river water and watercolors to display their understanding of rivers.
