Reading Logs

Our reading logs encourage daily reading habits while strengthening family engagement. Each monthly log can be colored in multiple ways, matching your child’s reading goal:

• One space for every day a child reads
• Each book completed
• Partner reading with an older sibling who is learning to read
• Listening to a story from an elder,
• A set number of minutes to achieve to promote reading stamina.

Each log is uniquely illustrated and features the Yup’ik and Dena’ina month name and its meaning (Lake Iliamna dialect), helping children connect literacy routines with seasonal knowledge and language.
